Stephen trained at The Central Ballet School before a degree in Musical Theatre at ArtsEd, London and has been a vocalist for BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night, going out live to 5 million listeners.

After a certificate in the Advanced Anatomy and Physiology of The Vocal Tract and 3 years of Estill Voice Training, he is now embarking on a Professional Doctorate Pathway (beginning with a Post Graduate Certification In Vocal Pedagogy) with Cardiff University. This entails exploring and performing cutting edge research around the voice and how it can enhance the teaching of voice. Expanding on his pedagogical knowledge, Stephen is also training as a vocal massage therapist.

As a Musical Director and voice coach, Stephen has worked internationally and has recently finished coaching on The Voice (Belgium). Stephen has also worked with educational institutions around the south west and in London including University College London Hospitals, READ college, Redroofs, Emil Dale Academy, London Studio Centre and Urdang (where he holds a position teaching technical voice on the BA course).

Stephen is also the industry mentor for voice at The Henley College, and has been the resident Musical Director/Arranger for Spirit YPC creating viral videos which total over 60 million views and 135,000 subscribers on YouTube.
